ABOUT US

Oeno (ee-no) is the Ancient Greek word for wine, as well as the name of the goddess known for turning water into wine.

Our mission at Oeno is to bring awareness to the diversity of wine and beer while providing a high level of hospitably and professionalism in order to create a memorable experience. We are located in the heart of downtown Flagstaff, AZ directly across from the iconic Coconino County Courthouse on the corner of Birch and San Fransisco Streets. DARA WONG // OWNER

Shift Kitchen and Bar and Oeno Wine Lounge Owner Dara Wong, a 2022 Young Athena Award Nominee, has a passion for pastry and a love for wine. As a business management graduate of the prestigious University of Denver, Dara boasts an impressive resume thanks to time spent alongside culinary legends such as Master Sommelier, Bobby Stuckey and James Beard Chef, Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson of Frasca Food and Wine (Boulder, CO). She furthered her culinary knowledge as the Assistant Pastry Chef at Sweet Basil in Vail, CO. Prior to launching Shift in 2016, Dara served as the General Manager and Pastry Chef of Flagstaff’s own Tourist Home Urban Market. She then opened Oeno Wine Lounge in 2021 in order to continue her love for hospitality and her involvement in the Flagstaff community. A Division I swimmer for the University of Denver, Dara spends much of her free time with her wife Sierra at the gym, running with their pups, and hitting the slopes.

TYLER MCBRIDE // OWNER

Tyler McBride’s passion for guest services started early. Right out of high school, he became and activity guide for The Ranch at Rock Creek, the world’s first Forbes Five Star Guest Ranch. His passion for food and beverage (especially wine) and all things hospitality grew and developed at the world-renowned Amangiri Resort in Southern Utah. Here he worked as a maître d and restaurant supervisor. With the help of incredible mentors from Aman, he passed the CMS Introductory Sommelier exam and his WSET level 2 certification in Wine and Spirits. Before becoming Dara Wongs business partner he was first the general manager of Oeno Wine Lounge, Followed with time as the General Manager at our sister concept Shift Kitchen and Bar. In 2022 Tyler passed his Certified Sommelier exam making him one of the few Certified Sommeliers in Northern Arizona. Tyler is currently studying for his Advanced Sommelier Certification testing throughout 2025.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Our Wine Club is for adults of legal drinking age. You must verify your age to join our club.
  • Your credit card will be automatically charged at the beginning of the month.
  • Members will pick up wine within the first week of each month.
  • You may cancel your membership by email or in writing at anytime.
  • We respect and protect your privacy. Any information you provide us will not be sold or shared with other companies.

PRIVATE EVENTS

Oeno is available for events seven nights a week. Our tastefully designed room accommodates up to 50 people and provides a cool, laid-back inside and outdoor patio that is perfect for tastings, birthdays, engagement parties, work functions, family gatherings and more. Please contact us to begin planning your event.

Special Orders

Looking for a specific bottle, producer, or hard-to-find wine? Oeno is happy to help source special orders through our network of distributors and importers. We can also accommodate larger orders for weddings, parties, corporate events, and other special occasions, with event pricing available on qualifying purchases.
